My service puts you fully in control of your hosting and makes everything easy to set up (but I can do that for you). Many hosting companies make achieving this very difficult. All the essentials are registered to you and you always have easy access to your hosting area, control panel, and billing.
Purple Moon Hosting uses LiteSpeed servers to host business websites – this allows me to create a much more efficient infrastructure with the highest possible up-times (100% up-time so far!) by utilising LiteSpeed web server in combination with MariaDB I have also been able to secure much faster load times without caching (about 10x times compared to Apache servers).
Security & Safety
Security should always be a top priority for everyone with a website. However, in today’s online shared environment, simply hardening the operating system will no longer be good enough. So at Purple Moon Hosting, I use CloudLinux with their cageFS. This simply means that each account will have its own file system which means:
- Only safe binaries are available to the user.
- Clients will not see any other users and would have no way to detect the presence of other clients and their usernames on the server.
- Clients will not be able to see server configuration files such as LiteSpeed config files.
- Nightly malware scans and immediate quarantine when malicious files are found.
So as for security, your package with Purple Moon Hosting will cover it all so you don’t have to worry. You will not need to set up any additional configurations to keep your web files safe and secure. Also, using this system with CloudLinux will ensure that one user will not be able to take down the entire server.

As I’ve already mentioned, unfortunately, many hosting companies advertise their services at extremely low prices only to later charge extra fees for features that are unnecessary or should have been included in your initial package – for example, a well-known hosting company charges £50 a year for an SSL Certificate. It should be free/included in your original plan as it is an absolute necessity for every single website in 2021! (SSL certificates encrypt your website and some browsers will not even open your website without one as they identify it is a suspicious site – they also may not take card payments without it). The majority of hosting companies advertised prices also offer the first-year discount; then once they have you on file they double the price in subsequent years.
